Hello friends!
It has now been a year since
I came home from my mission’s trip to Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. It
seems impossible that so much time has gone by already, but as I reflect on my
time spent in those places I am beyond thankful.
I kept a journal that I wrote in nearly every day while I was gone to remember
even the smallest details of my experiences while I was there. It was truly an
incredible time. Leaving the many friends I made while overseas was extremely
difficult, even more so than leaving home-my time overseas had impacted my life
so greatly. Whether it was through the 3 months of Biblical training,
encouraging and mentoring people in the grief-stricken city of Christchurch,
New Zealand, or sharing the gospel with
Hindi people in Fiji, God worked in some truly amazing ways in my life and
through my life. I write to tell you this because YOU had a large hand in
making this possible for me, and for them.
Whether it was through financial contribution, prayer, or both I am forever thankful
for YOUR generosity in this mission. When I think back to the memories and
re-look at the pictures, I can’t help but thank God, and I thank Him for YOU as
well. Thank you all so much for being the body
of Christ…my prayer is that you will continue to reach out when you see a
need-God will use you for any task, no matter how small or large, if only you
are willing. And remember, HE is “able to do
immeasurably more than all
we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” Ephesians
3:20. Even now, a year later, I truly can’t even express in words how grateful
I am for the experience I had overseas, and how thankful I am to you for making
that possible. I sincerely hope you have a wonderful
holiday season-celebrating our Savior!
